  1. Thanks all. I'm sure it will pass.
  2. I have a desk job and took two weeks. It feels like it will be plenty.
  3. I am a week post op and most days this week I have felt good about the decision despite pain, discomfort and some head hunger. Today, anxiety smacked me in the face and I thought, what the **** did I just do?? I honestly know this is a great decision, and I am recovering well, but I can't help today to just be freaked out about just having most of a healthy major organ cut out of my body. Anyone else? Words of wisdom?
  4. Nice Nikki! Wish I had known that last week. Great share!
  5. Did you change your name? Was confused a minute[emoji4]. Glad you're perking up! Today was by far my best so far, feeling wise. Still didn't hit fluid or protein goals, but it will come. Onward!!
  6. I had surgery at 9 am Tuesday and went home about 6 pm Wednesday. Glad I stayed over honestly and yes, the chest pain/pressure was the worst for me! It will get better in a couple days- promise!
  7. I didn't expect the calls NJ12. I asked today if they call everyone or if they suspected a problem... lol. They call everyone. I was a bit paranoid for a minute. I'm sorry your office doesn't reach out!
  8. Good luck today lee! Let us know how your feeling!
  9. Woke up today feeling great! Hope everyone is successful on fluid and protein goals today. I still haven't met goals on either, but surgeon calls daily and said I'm doing just fine. Sip, sip, sip!
  10. Hope all went well Shelley! Keep us updated!
  11. My tiny tummy loves warm soup. Better than cold stuff even.
  12. I had surgery 2/7. Happy to find a sleeve sister/buddy to recover together!
  13. I just had mine 2/7 and would love a buddy!
  14. Probably the same doc? This one came to Dayton from south, I believe. I have been working with the local office for 7+months and just had surgery this week. Sorry to hear the upheaval from your journey!
  15. I just had vsg with Dr Northup 2/7 in Dayton. Would love to meet people in the area who are in this journey also!
  16. My surgery was 2/7 and I have been struggling with spasms, chest pressure, doubts, and regrets. Each day has been a tiny bit better, so just looking forward to a crew weeks down the road at this point. Good luck to you!
  17. I had surgery the same date. Have struggled a bit as well. Everything tastes different! Not in a good way. I have been using mixers and drinking Powerade zero for fluids. Doesn't taste good, but have to choke it down. I think the taste change will change again in time.
