Hello,
I'm Kim, happily married with two adult sons, ages 24 and 22, who are out of the nest and doing well. For the past six years I have had chronic migraine headaches and am no longer able to teach elementary school. While I have been overweight most of my life I have always been active and stayed within 20-40 lbs. of my ideal weight. Having a neurological disorder changed that and my weight has steadily increased to the point of acquiring several serious co-morbidities that I can't ignore. I decided to

pursue VSG as a permanent solution so I can live a healthy second half of my life and am praying I will also get rid of the chronic migraines. I know there is no such

thing as taking the easy way out. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is hard work no matter which methods you use but living with the many health issues associated with obesity is even harder. That is my "why" and what keeps me committed to fully embracing my gastric sleeve surgery.
