  8. I decided I didn't want to drink alcoholic beverages when I was 22yrs old.. (Wish I had given up sugar as easily) I told everyone since there was nothing I would do drunk, that I wouldn't do sober... Let's cut out the middle man and save the hangover! I was ALWAYS the life of the party! (And designated driver) ... So show your friends you still know how to have a good time.. Or forget em! Find new friends! ?

  12. It's good you found this site... I didn't find it until after my surgery. I would advise that you read through what others have to say about their journey, to get a good idea what you are in for. I had no idea what a struggle it would for me. I say that because 4 wks post op I am still TRYING to come to terms with my new life style... I too have depression, joint and back pain, diabetes... This is a solution... But it is not the EASY solution.. Good luck on your journey. ?
  13. Thanks!! I like to know the science behind the answer... ?
  14. Thanks everyone.. This is great advice! I'm going to increase my Fluid intake, I just have to keep trying to find something I can tolerate. I know my Protein is probably low also... My Dr. Discontinues protein shakes after week 2 .. ( I couldn't stand the taste anyway) but I can't eat that much protein, makes my pouch hurt, hard to digest. I see the Dr. on Monday, will ask about protein. Does anyone know of a pleasant tasting Protein shake ? I can't stand the ones that taste like vitamins!
  15. It means you only have to wait 2 mths for your surgery! Insurance average wait time is 3-6 mths... You have go on a supervised diet and weigh in .... Meet with nutritionist.. ☺
  16. I'm 30 days post op and I have only lost 12 lbs... Is this usual? I know everyone is different... But... All the posts I see have much more rapid weight loss. I'm not getting in enough liquids... Only 35-45 oz per day. ( everything tastes terrible!) Could that make a difference? Any advice?? ?
