  2. Keep it up. We all have our own struggles none of us are the same. I found the first 3 days the hardest and then the night before. I guess you can say I cheated too but I tried to keep it in line with the program. My cheat was I had a sip of pickle juice (in my mind it was clear liquid) lots of sodium but it was better than the alternative. I also had hard boiled egg whites twice. Very high in protein and the goal is protein. I am NOT saying it was ok it wasn't what my doctor ordered. On the others side of the surgery the struggle is still there. No you are not hungry but you still struggle with the mental part of it. It is a mind game for real. I would start learning how to. win now and figure out what works for you in the struggles. You can do this I know you can. Also I find the New Whey Protein shots a quicker way and easier way to get in that protein. They are 4 oz and 42g of Protein. They really help me after because it cant take me all day to get down one shake. Like I said the struggles are real. Each phase has a new one but you can do it. Its about re learning how to eat properly and get in the proper nutrients and how to portion your meals. We didnt get here by having good habits. I know I didnt. So its like I have gone back to preschool and I am being taught from being a bottle baby (protein shakes) to creamy drained soups (cereal) to pureed food (baby food) to solids. Youve got this. We are not perfect we all fail but get back up brush it off and keep going or we will never see the finish line.

  4. It gets better first 3 days I lived on tylenol and b12. Once over that hump it was better. The B12 helped with my tiredness. You've go this.
  5. No problem. The first 3 are the hardest today is the first day I am not struggling. I have my eye on the prize. Good Luck to you.
  6. its hard I know it is. Stay strong. Try and find what works for you. I am not a sweet eater at all so the shakes are hard for me. The broth helps. I also saw someone post they used egg drop soup and drained it and miso soup. I did that with Ramen I just didnt use the noodles. I thought my struggle would be wine. We drink wine with dinner everynight and I have been 100% ok with not having that. The reality hit me in the face it is my food that I struggle with. Also SF Jello helps. Sorry I am not much help I am new to all of this too. Youve got this you can do it.
  7. How many days do you have to do it? Im on day 4 with 2 left. I . know the pain. I am not saying its the thing to do but I actually chewed on a cucumber, piece of chicken & piece of steak. With each I counted 25 chews then spit it out. It took that nasty protein shake taste out of my mouth and I didnt swallow it. AGAIN not that it is the thing to do but its all I had

  11. I am with you. My dr doesnt either. The first two days I felt horrible. I am feeling better now day 4. I have not been perfect I had an egg white. Just one and felt like I totally fell off the wagon. It was the best dang egg white I have ever had. I am not a sweet eater so the Protein shakes make me sick to my stomach. I keep thinking of the big prize. When is your surgery date?
  12. Day one yesterday and I made it through. Hard but made it. My hardest part is the evenings when its dinner time with my family and a glass of wine. I was in bed at 7:00. Had horrible headache and allergies are not helping. Day one down starting day 2 and 5 more to go. Good Luck all we got this
