  1. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Your post really made a lot of sense. I feel so much better after reading it. I guess I will just keep at! The scale has to go down soon, right? Lol
  2. I recently started running again, I keep my calories at around 1200 and it seems like my scale is moving in the wrong direction! My clothes a fitting better though... But then there is that constant pressure to lose weight by my next Dr. Appt which has me stressed out! Have any of my fellow bandsters gone through this?
  3. I'm 3 months out with 7cc and i have never had a stuck episode. I could pretty much eat anything just not a whole lot of it. I was lead to believe by a few friends, that i would never be able to consume bread again.
  4. Thank you so much for your response, A couple of my friends (that also have the band) told me it is very unusual that I am able to eat Ezekial bread. They said there is no way their band would allow them to process it. So of course it raised an eyebrow as to why I would be able to. I have been having consistent weight loss however I don't always full. I'm hoping with one more fill I might reach the green zone.
  5. Okay, I'm at 7cc's in 10cc band, I have okay restriction but to be honest I thought there would be more restriction at this point. I have NEVER had a "stuck" episode ( and no I'm not complaining about that) I could pretty much stomach anything if I wanted, like bread, crackers, .... The sole purpose for me getting the band is I knew it would help me eliminate those awful carbs from my diet. I however have been following the low carb lifestyle but when I have a weak moment it's hard not to want that piece of bread. Anyone else able to eat bread with no problems?
  6. How did your fill go Gary? I am struggling... I had my surgery in December I'm now at 3ccs but I feel like I need more... I'm starving half the time. And I feel like my weight loss should be more significant.
  7. At this point I'm concentrating on making mini goals and lose at least 1.5 lbs a week, although I was really hoping for a faster paced weight loss but I know I will get there in due time hopefully.
  8. I hear you; I'm currently at the "learn to listen to your band stage" .... the other day I think I ate too fast, boy was that uncomfortable! How many fills have you had?
  9. Lol!!! How are you doing Gardnergirl? I am doing pretty good other than feeling pretty hungry… I'm anticipating my first fill
  10. I'm getting banded tomorrow as well!!! I'm soooo nervous/excited myself.. best of luck you on the beginning of your journey.
  11. Awesome! I have mine December 19th... did you give yourself the lovenox? I'm nervous about giving myself an injection :/
  12. Hang in there. I'm on day 8... I found it easier after the 4 day. Good luck!
  13. Nice! Congratulations! When did you get banded?
  14. Hey all, I'm scheduled for surgery the 19th!!! Everything is approved. Today I started my liquid diet. How are you all doing so far post open?
  15. No problem! Best of luck to you on your journey!
  16. I'm not in Germany... I am in the US and I Have Tricare Prime South. My bariatric navigator gave me a form which had all the Tricare requirements which was 3 months for me. I know it varies with Tricare on how long you have to do the Dr. Supervised visits. I have a friend that had to do 6 months. I also have another friend that didn't have to do any.... so it's either a hit or miss depending on where you're at.
  17. I'm on my last month of the 3 month Dr. Supervision diet, and my surgery has not been approved with Tricare Prime until I'm done with all the 3 month requirements/testing. However, they did approved all the pre appointments just not the actual surgery yet.
  18. well that's a bummer to hear! I do the office is always busy and crowded though. :/
  19. That is great please keep me posted on your progress. I should be finished with my 3 months in November, I'm hoping for a December surgery date.
  20. Thanks for the response, Do you know if they will fill your band during surgery? Good Luck, you are so close!
  21. How does this work? I'm interested in the 16's and 18's.... Congratulations on your loss!
