  1. I went to dr. dewitt seminar tonight in b'ham, and I still dont know what I want to do. I'm on the fence between the realize band and the rny. both are apealing to me and both have their draw backs. The VSG sounds pretty good the best of both worlds but he assured me insurance wouldnt pay for it. The one downer tonight was when he said that as far as the band is concerned men loose weight the best then white women and last black women because of the way or metabolism responds. I am so scared to get this surgery and it not work or me not loose half of the weight. I have over 200lbs to loose. I think I might be leaning towards the rny.
  2. Hi everyone,I was wondering if anyone knows how the surgeons handles someone with severe sleep apnea. I have a C Pap,but even with it I still have to use positional therapy and sleep on my side. I'm scared that this will disqualify me for the surgery. If you or someone you know has gone through this I would love to know how it was handled.
  3. Hi, I'm going to Dr. Dewitts seminar on Nov. 20. I am nervous I found him online and dont know much about his practice. Will you let me know how everything goes with you, and for those who saw Dr. Dewitt I was just wondering how good is he.
