  2. No I haven't been fat all my life. Just the past 20 years and I'm 52 now. Why I decided to have lap band? I am stubborn. I know all the right things to do. Eat right and exercise was something I knew exactly how to do. I just didn't want to do it. I was married with two great kids. I got around just fine. Clothes looked "ok" on me. And I was comfortable with my self. But one day I got scared. I thought about how lucky I was to not have any serious health issues. I was 50 and had perfect blood pressure. No diabetic problems. No muscular problems. And I thought one of these days all that is going to change. After all I have a horrible history of all those problems with both parents. So... I decided I needed to get my self in gear and get healthy now before it was too late. I did some research and found out the surgery was covered by my insurance and I decided to bite the bullet. I started this on December 21 and have no regrets thus far. I know I'm doing te right thing for me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
