There is a meeting on Saturday 15th November at the Nuffield Hospital, Hatherley Lane, Cheltenham GL51 6SY. Katie dont give up -try all you can then at least your GP can put you forward. Mr Hewin is the surgeon who operates in your area. He is having an evening about obesity surgery at the Cheltenham Nuffield Hospital, Hatherley Lane at 6.30pm on the 4th November (tomorrow). go along if you can and get some info so you will be well informed when you have surgery.

You have proved that you can lose weight with the band so I think the sleeve would be best for you. It is not as invasive as the bypass and would be better for you in the long run if you are considering having chldren. All the best for the future. It will be your decision in the end and I wish you well which ever procedure you choose.

I have read of lots of people going to Dr Dillemans in Belguim. I have looked at his website and there are lots of packages to choose from with accomodation etc. I have not heard anyone say anything bad about him.

I know it is a difficult decision to make. There is David Hewin who operates at the Nuffield Hospital in Cheltenham or you can go to Bristol. The BOSPA website has a list of surgeons in the different areas. Good Luck.

Most Doctors do not put obesity/bariatric surgery as a reason on the sick note. Most put abdominal or gastric surgery. Just ask your hsopital doctor or GP and they will do this for you.
