  1. Hi There, I had my surgery 12/30/16. I did not spend a night in the hospital, the only pain was when I tried to get up every hour to walk it was like really sore muscles. I took my pain meds when I got back and was going to sleep just so I did not have pain, but have taken none since then and there is no more pain at all at this point unless I bump my stomach which is still a bit swollen (Dr. said it would take about a month to go down). Regarding gas pains I did have a slight pain in my upper chest/shoulder area but it was brief. I took GasX strips (dissolve on tongue) and after day two Milk of Magnesia twice a day as instructed. I have had no issues since. I also had no other health issues. I hope this helps.
