    I also have BSBC of Alabama. I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago and they confirmed that they do not cover the lap band. They do however, cover gastric bypass. They recently changed their policy on the lap band...they still do not cover it..but they scratched out the part about it being investigational. Here is the bookmark for my policy, which is the PPO.
