  1. I was banded 3/25 and I am having exactly the same issue. It is not gross, it is a fact of life. I have only been drinking everything. I have had Soup (clear mostly) Jamba juice Protein smoothie, and ice tea. I have not has a solid bowel movement since the surgery Tuesday. I think my husbands joke about my stomach was something to the affect: rumble in your tummbly. (Pooh and Tigger thing! We have kids.) I was told by my surgeon, Dr. John Marsden that it would occur and to not worry too much about it. However if I start on soft foods and it continues to let'm know. I hope that helps you.
  2. I had my surgery on Tuesday this past week and I felt the shoulder pain too. I also had my tubes tied and had it then. It is common because of the gas that is left in the body when they had to "inflate" your abdomen. The pain can be excruciating but it does subside. Typically I have heard walking, lying down, and moving your arms kind of in pin-wheel motion may help. I know for me that laying still for a while and trying to put my midsection in the air did help in both occurrences. I know that sounds funny, but it worked. The air bubbles have to go somewhere and I did not want them in my shoulders any longer. Hope that helps.
