  5. Gryffen....what dosage of selenium do you use? I'd definitely be interested in adding this to my supplements. Thank you for the other suggestions also! hair loss is really traumatic....at least it was for me!

  7. Well, I don't know what to tell you about your hair returning to normal. I had my surgery over 8 years ago. At the time my hair was long and fine. I started taking Biotin before the surgery and still lost a good bit of hair. I had to get it cut short. I take 10000mg of Biotin daily and my hair has only improved slightly. Only difference I have seen since it started growing back was that it came back curly. I still have to keep it short and I guess that's just the way it's going to be for me. It is also very dry even though I use an intense condition twice a week. That was the one drawback for me but I still do not regret getting the surgery. I know it's very important to get your Protein in daily. That is something I struggle with because I don't have much of an appetite anymore. I guess my hair was collateral damage. Now, that's just me. Everyone's hair is different so don't despair. Keep taking your biotin and get a good conditioner and talk to your hairdresser for some advice. Good luck!!!
  8. I am 8 years post op and I cannot tolerate any sort of ice cream.....even the no sugar added kind. Not real good with milk either. I have tried Lactaid and the Lactaid ice cream and it's a no go for me. I can eat yogurt, cottage cheese and any type of cheese with no issues. I think it is an individual thing and you have to find out what does and doesn't work for you.
