  4. (Still Pre op) I'm an emotional eater, and the psychologist agreed that dumping from bypass would help me curb that. (Be careful, though- I'm told you can overeat through dumping to where it doesn't happen anymore) My mom died of gastro-esophagael cancer last fall; her only symptom before stage 4 diagnosis was bad reflux. Knowing that's in my family, I wanted to avoid reflux from the sleeve. I also have PCOS, and the "clock is ticking." Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
