Supply check list for TT?
Hi guys, I thought for sure there was a supply check list pinned on this forum but I don't see one. Anyone have suggestions for items I will need for my TT on the 16th? So far all I have is the dail soap I have to wash with before the surgery. I have a power leather recliner that should be here on saturday. I have bought a few nightgowns and Pj pants but Target didn't have any sweats so i'll go look for some later today. For entertainment I have netflix and a couple of books. Do I need a chair for the shower? A toliet extender (not sure what they really call it)? I think i've read on here something about a gel compression garment and bookmarked it on my old computer. Anyone know where I can find it? Anyways, your suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Tell me to let them GO!
It took me forever to get rid of my clothes and I was so cheap I even kept wearing them. My clothes were size 22/24 and I was down to a size 18. My sister gave me a bunch of her clothes so I finally got rid of them but I sold them on craigslist and used the money to buy some new clothes from Target (since they are cheap and I was still using). Now i'm selling my size 18's so I can buy some size 14's. So I suggest selling them on craigslist!

Is this price quote sounds reasonable
If you don't mind sharing I would like to know what doctor you went to. I live in Fresno and since i'm getting close to my goal I've been looking for a good doctor. Also, would you recommend or go back to the same doctor? Thanks!

To tell, or not to tell...family and friends
The only person I told was my husband. I was thinking about telling one of my sisters thinking maybe I could talk her into getting it done with me but we were talking about it in general and she sounded against it so I didn't. I'm happy with just my husband knowing, I dont have to feel weird around anyone.

Hair and Skin with Lapband
Thanks for the advice everyone. I think i'm going to try taking some flax seed oil and see if that helps.

Drinking while eating poll
I drink with my meals but it doesn't seem to make me hungry or PB. I eat three times a day with no snacks. When I first decided to look into lapband I was at 236, day of surgery I was at 226, and today i'm at 194. I feel my weight loss has been going well so unless I the weight loss slows down or it makes me PB i'll probably continue to drink during meals. Edit: I forgot to mention I got banded on March 27, 2008

Hair and Skin with Lapband
Since the surgery my hair has not been as healthy and my skin is really dry. I have been taking all my vitamins and have been getting enough water and protein. Maybe a good shampoo or lotions might help? Any suggestions would be great!

Oh dear .. My doc shocked me ...
My post op diet was 3-4 days of clear liquids then mushies/soft foods for 1 week, then solid foods as tolerated. Everything has been going down fine so you shouldn't be too worried. All you have to do is make sure you chew really well. Trust me this is a good thing, because for me I didn't start getting my energy back until I started eating solid foods again.

is this normal??
I had my surgery on 3/27 and I was feeling the exact same way. I went back to work on 3/31 and i was very slow, tired, and I found it hard to stay awake! I am just now starting to have the energy to do the things I used too. Just give it some time and you will be ok.

Husband Eating Everything!!!!
I personally would be upset since your husband is suppose to encourage and support you. I'm lucky that my husband has been eating things that aren't as tempting such as eggs and Cheerios. We have an agreement, he can eat anything he wants as long as it isn't around me. So he can go out and have lunch and such but when he is home he eats what ever is around the house.

Birth Control
I LOVED the depo, after the 3rd month I stopped having periods all together. I'm thinking maybe i'll check out the ring because I'm afraid of forgetting to take the pill. Although, I guess i'm going to have to get used to taking meds after the surgery anyways... hmm i'll have to put some thought into it.

Birth Control
I'm getting banded soon and i'm starting to think of birth control. My periods have always been irregular, the doctor said it's probably due to the fact i've always been over weight. When me and my husband first got together I was on depo for 3 years, and i've been off for about 1 year and 9 months (only 3 or 4 light periods). Anyways, we want to have a baby but the doctor recommends that I wait a year first. So my question is, what birth control are you using? Does the pill work ok?
