  1. I know this was from a few months ago, but I also just had loop DS from Cottam last month and they also left my drain in. However 2 days after surgery I woke up with sharp pain in my left side. Thinking it was just gas or something I tried waiting it out, however it continued to get worse so I ended up in the ER and another overnight stay. Turned out it was the drain causing the pain so they had to remove it, once it was out the pain instantly went away and I could Breathe again. It was horrible. 2. I was on nexium, but it didn't touch it after surgery, so they prescribed me dexilant and it still wasn't really helping. So now I'm on 2 antibiotics, another PPI (don't remember the name) to treat the heartburn and possible ulcer, plus extra strength zantac, all twice a day. I've only been on it for about a day and a half, so I can't give a whole lot of feedback yet on if it's helping. I've also found that getting my stomach adjusted by my chiropractor helps also. 3. I just recently got SIPS a few weeks ago and my heartburn has been pretty bad. I've heard different things about it, my dr says it should calm down pretty drastically after 60-90 days. But I've also read other things that it can be pretty long term/permanent. But I also tested positive for H Pylori bacteria so now I'm on antibiotics for that. Hoping that helps it.
