  1. What a GREAT idea about the protein shake as a creamer!! I'm pre op but will test it this week. Awesome idea.
  2. Wooooow that's awesome!!!!!
  3. That's AWESOME!! I'm 5'10 and my goal is 175-180. SO I have about 125lbs to lose. I'm ready to get to trying!
  4. My BMI is 43.6 and I'm 304lbs. Can't wait to drop the first 40-50lbs so I can start walking and moving around more.
  5. I'm so happy to hear that! How much weight have you lost?
  6. What an OUTSTANDING answer!!! You slayed it!
  7. I'm pre-op as well and I know exactly what you mean. I worry about the same thing. But the more research I do about the sleeve and the molecular/chemical/hormonal (not sure which word to use) changes that happen once the surgery is done, the more comfortable I feel that it'll be easier to make better choices post op. I'm confident I'll be able to do it. And so will you[emoji4]
  8. Hello Everyone. I just got approved by my insurance company (in two days!!). I'm meeting with my surgeon on May2nd and then we schedule the surgery. I'm not happy about the wait time just to meet the surgeon and am trying to figure out a way around it. I'm so ready to be on the other side already! Looking forward to joining the losers' rank lol. I'll keep you all posted[emoji4][emoji1417]
  9. That is awesome !!!! I'm so happy for you!
  10. ShilohD I can't wait for that to happen to me!!!! I'm 303lbs and just have one more weigh-in this coming Saturday before scheduling my surgery. I haven't seen 250lbs in about 20 years and haven't seen under 200lbs in about 30years. I will lose my shit the day I enter Onederland! For sure lol!!!
  11. I agree. It really forces us to look at ourselves, and it's not always a pretty picture. But it's awesome that we're now aware so we can do something about it.
  12. Welcome to the other side lol !!!!!!
  13. I'm pre-op as well and I haven't wrestled with this at all: I share my belief that losing over 100lbs on my own is not realistic for me. I tell them about the pain in my lower back/knees/feet and how excited I am about being pain-free for the first time in a long time. And then I tell them I thank God I have this option. This is the same way I've lived my life for 55 years Once I have the surgery and start losing weight I'll handle the questions the same way. If the topic turns negative I have the option of not engaging with anyone who is negative about my choice. And then I'll keep losing weight and frolicking through the tulips with less pain. The End. ????? ??
  14. That's amazing! How do u get enough water and protein daily, especially right after the surgery?
