This wasn't your last Christmas dinner, restaurants will always be around, food will always be here. I decided before my pre op that I had to get my head in the game and commit to this. I did my pre op 12/16-12/26 and I kept telling myself that it's food, obviously I've had it yes some food smells really good but so does my car air freshener and my perfume and I don't have to eat that! I take it one day at a time. I'm 1 week post op and have no cravings. I'm glad I didn't have a food funeral. Food has always been my crutch and I'm glad I've decided to drop it like a bad boyfriend and move on. Good luck on whatever you decide. @@mamasasuperhero I'm going down 12/26 for VSG surgery alone. Is there anything you wish you'd brought or known before you went? I'm getting nervous and second guessing not taking my husband, but like yours, someone needs to stay with the kids especially over Christmas break. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm starting my pre op 12/17 for 12/26 sleeve. It's 99% mental as I've been telling myself to get my head in this game. I've had plenty of Christmas dinners, obviously too much Christmas candy and missing one holiday dinner party won't kill me.
