That is awesome!! I am 6 weeks post-op and feeling amazing. Eating is still a learning experience but I am down 55 pounds from my initial weigh in, 40 since the surgery itself. I always worry about how I am going to screw this up like all my other weight loss attempts but relearning my habits through pain and discomfort (aka, the hard way). This is just in time for my 20 year high school reunion (unplanned coincidence) so it will be interesting to see the reactions on my old school mates.
I recommend going on a low-fat diet, and probably low carb, to try and shrink your liver, the liver loves to hold onto fat. My surgeon had me take dulcolax two nights prior to the surgery so I guaranteed a bowel movement the day prior. Otherwise just be strict about the 2 day liquid prep diet they instructed you to follow.
Don't sweat it too much. Work with your Doctor and referral surgeons and they will put you on the right track. Insurance wants you to be healthy and the doctors want you to take the best route.
Congrats all!
One small problem is that regular Water makes me a little nauseous whereas Jello and crystal light go smooth.
The largest problem I have is fart trust. I am a gassy guy but now I need to sit on the throne in fear of what the next toot may bring.
For all you shy people: I POOPED MYSELF!!!
Now you have no reason to be shy. You're welcome.
