May 1st VSG in Denver CO??

Hi Breezy! Dr snyder is my surgeon as well, and I had my sleeve done at Rose too. Dr Snyder and his staff are amazing. Staying at Rose was pleasant and the nurses are very attentive. You are in good hands. Best wishes for your surgery on May 1st!

    Low BMIers

@hellya-thanks for reminding me about the lost inches!! When I started on this journey my waist was 41 inches around and is now 36 inches, I went from a 38DD to a 36D-woohoo! So when I stalled I did lose inches. No regrets here either!

    Low BMIers

Hi @@stayingyoung, I was sleeved Dec 2nd with a lower BMI (insurance would not cover me) but, I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. I have lost 21 lbs since then so, it averages about 2.5 lbs a week, faster in the beginning and a stall at about 4weeks. I have to fight for every pound. I'm working out every day, watching everything I put in my mouth and the weight loss is slow. That being said, I couldn't lose the weight on my own and am happy for what I have lost. I will continue to follow my plan and I know the weight will come off in time, just slower than others.

    Todays surgeries!

Thank you for remembering me I'm home now and doing well. I've been able to keep my liquids down , 4 oz every hour. All of the worry was much worse than the actual procedure. I did gain about 10lbs from all the iv fluids but, it's coming off pretty fast. I'm a little tired but, I feel great!! Can't wait to start losing actual weight, not the weight I gained from the iv. I'm still a little out of it from all the pain meds they keep you on in the hospital but, I don't need them anymore I just feel like I've done a lot of sit-ups. thank you, losingit60

I hate that I had this surgery

I'm so sorry that you're feeling so bad! I've read that sometimes our hormones change right after surgery bc it's so stressful-those hormones can make you feel down and sad. Please don't over eat, that could be dangerous to your new staple line and cause a leak. I've also read that some nurses say that you will not be able to get all of your food in the first few weeks after surgery bc of the swelling in your stomach-maybe try to make sure you just get your Fluid in right now and be easy on yourself. Sounds like you need to take care of you right now!! Feeling sick is horrible but it will pass and get better. Take one hour at a time, you can make it and when you do ,you'll be so happy that you made it:)
  7. Dec 2nd! So excited and nervous all at the same time:) New here so I'm not sure I'm posting correctly
