  1. *shakes her head* Could we get back on topic please? There are other threads for talking about signature lines and nascar, and PM's are great for one-to-one conversations. Thanks.
  2. I cannot tell you how happy I was to see that post from Penni just now. Not because I feel any stupid petty battle has been won, but because of how important it is that everyone feels safe in coming to LBT and really sharing their fears, their struggles, and their victories with one another without the fear of that then being used against them in personal attacks. This place means the world to me and many many others who come here for help, support, encouragement, friendship, and advice.. and I am so pleased and proud of the fact that it means as much to Alex and the mods. Thank you. Sincerely, Susan
  3. Maggie what GREAT news!!! I'm so very happy for you!! *happy hugs*
  4. Woohoo DeAnn! So glad the weekend turned out great! We had a blast in Spokane, WA over the weekend with my mom and some her friends. So, even tho I was on the opposite side of the state, I was in the same state with you! lol Last night we had dinner on the lake at the Coeur d'Alene resort (30min east of Spokane) - very posh - the halibut was to DIE for! All in all a great weekend. Now here it is Sunday night and time to get ready for another week of plain ole living. Hope everyone else got some off-line time as well!
  5. It's because I was gone for two days! Without me, there IS no LBT. *cackles* (psst.. that was a joke)
  6. Dear DonnaB, Actually, I don't think it's something they do on purpose. It's a formatting issue. Now.. don't you feel bad for that, Donna? Shame on you for being such a meaniehead. Love, P'Nutz
  7. My parting gift to y'all before I leave for the airport... I decided to try on my size 24 jeans this morning. The ones I couldn't wear anymore (when I started wearing size 26 jersey-type elastic waist things). Anyway, those jeans have tapered legs so the bottom hole of the leg is fairly small right? So, there I am in the bathroom, telling Dawg "Oo.. I think I'll try on these old jeans. It might be worth a laugh." After trying them on and getting a good chuckle out of how HUGE they are on me, I get the idea to try to get both legs into one pant leg. I start putting my foot in the leg, I'm smiling from ear to ear because my leg went right in alongside the other one. Then.. trouble started. My foot reached the bottom of the tapered leg and I couldn't get it to go down any further. I'm holding onto Dawg, pushing my foot down and realize that I'm standing on the material with the foot that was already thru. So I let go of Dawg, pull up on the pants with both hands while trying to stand up on my tiptoes to get the material out from under my heel -- when I started doing a Leaning Tower of Pisa impression. Remember, both legs are in the same pant leg.. there was no putting a foot down to catch myself. I'm saying "Get me! Get me!" as I'm going backwards. I let go of my pants and tried to catch myself on doorway into the closet but to no avail. I ended up in a heap of dirty clothes, laughing my ass off with Dawg really laughing! He laughed! Out loud!! :faint: Ah yes, trying on those pants did indeed provide a good laugh. Y'all have a wonderful weekend. I'll miss ya. I love ya, lunatics.
  8. P'ROFL!! I'll p'meet you behind the p'barn ya p'bastahd! *grins* Ooo.. I have been given a new name and I love it! Ph*ckNutz! Isn't that adorable? Bye y'all. I'll be p'thinkin' about ya!
  9. Ok deal. September 11. In honor of the twins that fell.. you and I can stand side by side and kick ass (just not mine, ok?)! See you when I get home. Enjoy your weekend.. and get some R&R in will ya?
  10. Well.. pfffft.. I did squat. No walking. Not enough water. And what was that other thing I was going to do? Ohh yea, journal my food. I might get that done. Wont be here for a few days (rejoicing) cause we're going on a trip to visit mom. I'll get my shit together when I return tho, so Penni.. be prepared. Starting on Monday, no outside BS is going to drain our energy or rob us from our focus. Right? *hugs*
  11. I'm going on a trip tomorrow! I'm going to fly in an airplane and see my mom and come home with lots and lots of money. I love my mom. I love trips. Flying is ok, but Dawg is not. *laughs*
  12. Now is a good time to share a picture of my grandson who spent last weekend with us. He always has a great time at Gram's house. Having a drug addict/alcoholic grandma has its perks.
  13. Everyone should go to Vegas at least once. It's a wonderfully exciting place with so much to do and see. Be prepared for the heat if you go in the summer though. Man it gets hot there! Something that will always stick in my mind about Vegas is the rooftops of all the houses are the same. Well, they look the same to me. All that red clay tile stuff. And the streets were all lined with cinderblock walls that had that same pinkish stucco look as the houses did. To me, the only color was in the night lights. The last time we went there, we had a blast watching the mini shows they put on out in front of the big hotels. Amazing stuff. We were there with 11 other families on a mission trip with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) so we didnt really enjoy any of the gambling and drinking. hehe We stayed in a church, all of us slept on the floor of the church by night, worked in the community by day, put on presentations at night. It was only one stop on the month long trip. Very dear memories. You should go if you get the chance.
  14. Hi Casablnca and Welcome to LBT, I was self pay so I didnt have to go through this kind of thing. I can only imagine how let down you must be feeling. I can't believe the insurance company would require medical care that they don't even cover. What a bummer! There are a lot of folks here who have battled insurance companies and won, so you've found the right place for adivce. Hang in there, don't give up hope. Everything happens for a reason.

    LBT??
  16. I did try it... once. Not sure I'd do it again. It's barbaric and cruel and owie.:think
  17. I've been banded just about 8 months now. So it was falling out for about 3 months but seems to have stopped now.
  18. Give us your best guess. :paranoid
  19. A port is a harbor town or city where ships may take on or discharge cargo. A fill is a quantity that satisfies or satiates. A PB is a psycho bitch. The blood coming out of your ear is.. blood. Please do call the doctor. No, there is no problem with having a fever of 107.5, you'll be dead soon so um, forget calling the doctor. You should bypass the band and go directly to Stone Cold Creamery. A lapband is similar to a lapdog, only its on the inside. I think you can rest assured that even if your insurance covers the band, they will deny you just for the hell of it. A port is a harbor town or city where ships may take on or discharge cargo. The thread looks alive and well to me. :heh:
  20. Soy Protein is a form of vegetable protein, which is not easily digested and can cause gas and still leave you lacking in protein. I would suggest you stick with natural whey protein for optimal absorbption.
  21. Welcome to LBT Donalee! I think you mean restriction, right? That's what this group calls it anyway. My hair started falling about about 5 months after surgery. Its not falling out as much now, and I hear from others that it will grow back. So how has your weightloss journey been since you got some restriction? Were you banded in the US?
  22. Hi Madison.. welcome to the world! Grats Grama.. get ready for some of the best times of your life! Grats to Mommy and Daddy too.
  23. Be careful! You don't want to get psome on ya! *winks*
  24. He hasn't patented the idea yet, so don't anyone steal it from him!
  25. I dont actually see two faces. I see a very sad image of one of God's creatures that has obviously become deformed.. possibly by poisonous waste. Its a crime what's allowed to be poured into our rivers and oceans. Sad, very sad.
