    I'm freaking starving.

I'm 10 days post opp and my surgeon and nut cleared me for one small can or pouch of tuna with fat free mayo and relish. It was amazing. I got tired of shakes and chicken noodle soup too. I am also eating Dannon oikos triple zero Greek yogurt to get my daily Protein goal of 80g in. One serving of that have 15g protein no fat or sugars. One serving of tuna have 22g with no fat and sugar. It's learning to know your limits all over again. I still lost 2 lbs overnight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I just got sleeved on the 14th. Everything went by so fast I started my wls journey on Halloween day with my first visit! In Kansas we have poor health insurance options so they would not pay for anything. I had to self pay and be on the "fast track" program. Surgeon fees were $3420 including Assistant Surgeon. hospital fees was $9000 even. I did the psych evaluation and all labs self pay as well and ended up right around $1000. Moving on. I did not expect to have my surgery so quick. I was thinking Late December to maybe January. After completing the labs and all required pre op visits. I got a call on December 1st that I need to start my liquid diet because I was scheduled December 14th for surgery! I was shocked and excited at the same time. I went from 353 to 336 from the pre op diet and bowel prep. Now I knew I snored a lot even when I was active and healthy as a mailman back in the day. When I left that job to get into car sales, I've gained quite a bit of weight along with wife's pregnancy on our 2nd child. I ballooned up 100lbs in a year. The bigger I got the louder my snoring but luckily my family puts up with it. Since I was self pay I never had to do a sleep study. I never was diagnosed with sleep apnea. They just told me after surgery I had a hard time waking up and I had to be on the cpap or breathing machine. I could not sleep whatsoever with that on. It beeped every time I fell asleep. I stayed in the hospital without really sleeping. It was horrible until a nurse let me sleep without it for a few hours. Anyone have sleep apnea and never knew they had it? It's more serious than I thought. I could have died during surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. . They had me on the cpap because they said I wasn't getting enough oxygen when I was dozing off. Worst time ever. Machine would beep and I stayed awake. Even when they just put the oxygen tube in my nose, when I dozed off it started beeping too. I finally got some rest when they took all those off. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
