  13. Can't Weight, thanks for all the info. Was that package through the Dr himself, or through a company? I think it sounds like a good deal and would rather not have the hassle myself if im honest :smile2: How you finding things since you got back? Any regrets so far? Cheers. Penny
  14. Hello All Belgium Bandsters, lol, I am looking for some info from you all, I booked my consultation for end of May with Chris, in Edinburgh, I am looking to get the band done early July, I can't wait! I want to know where people have stayed, what airport I fly to, and how much people are paying for op just now in GBP£. Also, taxi costs, is flying after the band ok, how long should I stay for, and anything else anyone wished they'd known before they went. One last thing, is there any support groups in central scotland anyone knows about for people pre-and post banding?! Thanks All in advance :tt1: Penny
  15. Yes, Gillian, been reading this forum for months and signed up a few weeks ago when i finally decided to just go for it! I am talking to Dr Chris, and booking it all, just have to find the cash now...that's another issue! I'll get there though, sounds like things are going great for you and Im hoping to get the same results a lot of people are happy with on here. Pen
  16. Gary - Thanks so much, I have emailed him today. I am hoping to get a consult with him asap then go for the op in early July since I am off work then. Cheers Pen:tt2:
  17. Hey All Could someone please give me Dr Christian De Bruyne's email address to talk to him direct? I am looking for a consult in Edinburgh but the europesurgery woman was a bit confusing. Also, is there anyone looking at being banded early July with him, as im looking at then. Thanks Pen
  18. I should have said, i went to my GP, at the moment, there is a postcode lottery on funding in scotland on the NHS, the only place that banding is being funded is in Aberdeen, and it could take months to sort it. This has been going on for over a year, it's stupid and it's affecting people's lives. I am going to ask that they do free aftercare if I pay for the surgery myself and for access to a Bariatric Dietician to help ease the costs there. I'll see how I get on..... By the way you look amazing, How you finding the band?:huh2:
  19. Hi all, Been looking to get banded in July this year. I am self funded as I don't want to have to wait a year or two on the NHS, I have saved £2000 so far, but it's killing me to do so. I dont think im going to be able to get the 7k they're asking for in most UK places, but i'd rather have it here for the aftercare. I also dont know if the NHS have to give you aftercare or not?I am looking at finance options and Belgium, can anyone offer advice????? Thanks P.:rolleyes2:
