Yes very difficult to sleep with all the gas inside I also threw up everytime they pumped nausea medicine in NY iv I had surgery on Monday the 14th it has gotten A LOT better I must say once u pass gas the pain in ur chest n back will start to go away. Hello... surgery went great thanks for all the kind words...the only thing I really struggled with is keeping the nausea medicine down.. it was giving to me through the the iv I seemed to throw up every time it was giving to me... yesterday took some pain meds thinking it will help with the gas pain but I threw it up as well... My experience with my sleeve syrgery: day 1 after surgery throwing up all nausea medicine given to me through iv, lots of gas pain in my upper chest, did alot of walking and helped with moving around the gas. 2nd day is today feeling way better was able to let some gas out the back end lol and the gas pain has gotten much much better still up and walking as much as I can. Really no pain from surgery that I have experienced just the gas pain which im really thankful for. However I'm not able to keep the pain medication down which I took yesterday thought it would help with the gas pain and threw it up as well. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Tomorow is surgery Day any last minute things any one would like to share experience or suggestions or what to expect. Really nervous but excited bout my new journey! Im 5wks post op and was like you. The morning of surgery, my nurses that helped prep me was just so calming that i wasnt stressed anymore. Now i live in pensacola fl, and my dr is just so sweet, he gives you his cell phone number and say call if u feel like anything is wrong. I had surgery at 730am and was done at 1040. He ended up removing my gallbladder and repairing a huge hernia that i didnt know i had. I was on a iv the first day, the next morning, they sent me down to xray for a upper g.i. to make sure that my pouch wasnt leaking. After that test, i was allowed to sip on Water and juice. The next morning i was given watery cream of wheat, Jello, juice. I couldnt stand any of it, i didnt want any of jt. Now that first day after surgery, that afternoon they got me up to walk. I had 3 c-sections, so i kinda knew what to expect. The more you walk, the better you feel. Some people get really bad gas, i didnt, but i also went for 3wks without a bowel movement. I had to start taking something to go, and it wasnt nice. But since then, i started out wearing a 3x, 5wks later im down to a large. I havent stepped on the scales , i never do unless im at the drs. I go by my clothes, and im happy with that. That was all in 1 month. I only had 100lbs to lose and by the way thats going, i should reach that goal by Feb. 1 thing is true for me is that right after surgery, my taste completely changed. I drunk my Protein shakes everyday but now, anything that has dairy, i cant keep down. So im having to get my protein from food. Everyone is different, but just do what your dr and nutritionist tell you to do and you will be great. You'll do great Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App Thank you... I'm 5'2 and started at 227 now at 208 and surgery is Monday I have about 60 pounds to loose I've been working to try to have less saggy skin... I guess we will see. That's another thing I'm nervous about is the nausea cuz throwing up will most likely be painful cuz u really don't know how much you use you stomach until it's the only choice had three c-sections soo I can just imagine with this surgery Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
