Surgery was Wednesday morning, but my abdomen is so sore getting out of bed is tough. I walked every 2 hours in the hospital immediately following the the surgery, the started this while in recovery. It hurts when I am standing and take a deep breath it's like my lungs can't fill up all the way. Is this normal or should I be calling the doctor? When I had my first appointment in May, I was going to keep this secret about looking into having surgery only my husband and children would know. I than said this is stupid I will tell my family and some of my closest of friends, I guess I should have kept the secret. You would think my choice to do this is affecting there life style. I am scheduled for surgery on November 30. I donated a kidney to my brother in 2013, I am concerned with consuming large amounts of Protein before and immediately following the surgery and the effects it will have on my kidney, while I know this is short term I am a bit concerned.
