  1. So I went for my 6th...yes 6th fill today ( i was banded 3/18/08) and the PA made me feel like i am a little crazy....Since being banded i have lost 42 lbs (half way to my goal).....At my 4th fill I started to get .2 cc every 3 weeks or every 6 lbs...(anything more then that is too much and I have had to have some removed... Well I though small adjustments were normal at the losing stage.... the PA thinks i might be becoming a little obsessed....I do believe that everyone has a personal comfort level that they like there band...i think i am more sucessful when my band is on the tighter end of the spectrum....has anyone experience something similar? Getting nervous that something might be wrong... Gabbygal:crying:
  2. Hey Lacie..... Well congrats on making the decision to gain control of you heath. I was banded 3/18/08 and have lost 40 lbs since then....with 50 more to go to hit my goal weight of 165 lbs... Hopefully your recovery has been ok...i know i was hit with some major shoulder pain post opt that lasted for nearly 2 weeks....It was awful! How are you feeling thus far...
  3. With me, my ideal restriction is when the only thing I can get down in the morning is a hot cup of tea or coffee....by the end of the day my band has loosened so much that I am working hard to resist dessert....by morning the cycle starts all over....just about every 6 lbs I am ready for another fill and they usually only need to fill me .2 cc to get back to my perfect restriction....I have been over filled before and trust me you know it....I was able to drink Water at the dr's office and I stayed slow with liquids all day...however during the night as my band started to tighten i awoke with insane discomfort....I could not even swallow my own spit and i was dry heaving within moments of sitting uprite.....make sure you stick to the 2 days liquid 2 days softs and treat yourself like you did the first few days post-op.......remenber...each fill is an adjustment and you need to retrain yourself all over.... best of luck!!
  4. I am 3 months post surgery and I still have shoulder pain when i over eat or eat gassy foods as well....only thing that seems to work is time...best of luck to you
  5. smoothies are great......just watch the calories in them....WeightWatchers makes a smoothie that is fabulous I would have the chocolate with milk...and frozed strawberries...throw in blender and was totally satisfied...
  6. I was banded 3/18 and got the shot of heprin in my stomach...Its no big deal but it does sting a bit....kinda like a bee-sting...i got it once pre-op and once post opt before i left the hospital...Good luch to you!
