  1. Thank you thank you!!! I'm going to Northwest Weight Loss Surgery in Everett (about 45 minutes north of where I live in South Seattle). My surgeon is Kevin Montgomery MD. Wow - and my surgery is in 4 hours! :rolleyes2:
  2. 2 magic words: self pay! Well - that and they said I was in "great health"...if you can call being 100lbs overweight great health! But I think they meant no diabetes, sleep problems, psychological problems, etc. I'm just so happy b/c it really gave me no time to stress about anything or overthink my decision. 3.5 hours until no eating/drinking until after I'm banded!
  3. Congrats on your amazing success so far! I'm in your shoes when you wrote the original post - I'm getting banded tomorrow morning...self-pay and very nervous. But - excited at the same time. Where did you go to have your surgery? I live in seattle but am going to everett (northwest weight loss surgery). Ugh - only 3.5 hours until no food/liquids until after surgery! lise
  4. Hi! I'm a Seattle-ite, as well - getting banded tomorrow morning! Congrats on your success. Amazing! Hope to see you around the forum. Lise
  5. Seattle here! Getting banded tomorrow morning. Eek!
  6. Congrats! I'm self-pay, as well. For me, I'm 5'5'' and 230. I didn't even try to go through insurance as I knew they would not accept me and getting the band was just too important. My surgery is tomorrow morning. Eeek!
  7. Since I went in for my consult a week ago and I have my surgery tomorrow (yes - I'm speedy) I had a week to lose 5 lbs. I've been on liquids for the past few days and have lost 3 lbs...I hope they won't turn me away tomorrow morning! lise
  8. Hi! New to the group and am getting banded tomorrow morning at 9:30 am in Everett, WA at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery. Nervous...excited...a bit scared. But overall relieved that I'm starting on a new phase of my life. Stats: 5'5'' Weight: 229 Lise
