You are so right - i just told my husband to take them away - i was getting a little too out of control with the werthers original sugar free's. yummy - but defeats the purpose of the band and i wasn't just eating them for my sore throat...if you know what i mean!

ooh my - i am in the same position. i was banded on tuesday (3/4) and i can hardly stand from a seated position. it hurts to even wipe myself when going to the bathroom (yes...gross - but when you have to bend down it's torture)! My stomach is all gassy but nothing comes out of either end! I've been writing all about it on my blog (see link below in my signature) but I thought I would be able to go back to work today...instead i'm going to try and go back monday. let me know how you are doing. here's to wishing us the best!

Been there, done that. I've lost 70 lbs last year on atkins to only gain back 90. it's not fun. it's defeating. which is why i got banded. it's not good on your body, either. this was my last resort. if you KNOW you can do it on your own - that's great - but only something like 5% of americans who diet the "normal" way actually keep the weight off. it's not easy.

I wish i had your ability to not stress...i hate Fluid weight gains...so not fair. but - you have your good days and your bad ones. hopefully the good will outweigh the bad! what have you been eating in the mushie stage?

25 lbs in 2 months - that's amazing! well - i went to a seminar, had my consults and then was banded all within a week and a half so i really didn't have time to do a pre-op diet. it all happened so fast! i don't know if i'm retaining fluids or what...but my stomach is still all bloaty/gassy feeling. eek!

jump start at the weight loss...i wish! so far i've gained 3 lbs...and that's with drinking under 800 calories a day! nuts. our drinks sound fantastic - i'll have to try some peanut butter blended with my slimfast shakes. yum!

wow - i once had a stent about 3 years ago when i had a kidney stone but i'm not sure if that's anything similar...i feel for ya - that's for sure! hopefully there is not much "after" pain. I can't believe you woke up with the tube down your throat! when i woke up it was already gone. poor thing!

wow - you are doing great with your weightloss so far. keep up the great work! i just updated the blog with some new liquid ideas for the "drink it through a straw" phase. fun! pics are much worse than it really is - i promise!!! but seriously - if you are doing this well now, you are going to get down to your goal weight in no time!

Ahhh - it's one of the slimfast scoops. I was trying too hard to be artsy that I didn't make it to scale. :thumbup: Also, make sure you blend it super well - we're talking no chunks here! And feel free to add more ice - up to 2.5 cups. It's soooooo goooood!!!!

Nooo - you had to have a catheter??? Wow - that's intense. I thought the tube down my throat was rough. Today i'll be doing the MOM thing (milk of magnesia) as I have yet to do a number 2 in 3 days. Ugh. So many things to "look forward" to with the band-o!

Ooh - the werthers are the best - almost as good as the slimfast-frappuccino!!! To-die-for!!!!!! Best of luck with the banding on tuesday - you MUST let me know how it goes. Everything went wonderfully with mine. Just the typical swelling and mid section pain but that's to be expected. Can't wait till my first fill!

You will be over the moon! It's my favorite thing .. I may stay on liquids forever!!! Well - maybe not forever - but I'll keep drinking the shakes for as long as they keep making slimfast!

Ooh yes - make sure you blend it really good - and my favorite way to eat it is with a spoon - that way it's like a nice thick milkshake!!! I now have to fight my husband away from taking "tastes"!!!

I don't see why not. Try it out and if it tastes like a frapp - then you know it's right! I actually put a bit more than a cup and a half of ice in it - about 2 cups and we have a really powerful blender. I then pour it into a big cup and scoop it out with a spoon and it's like i'm eating a chocolate or vanilla ice cream shake. only better!!!

You are healing up so nicely - and only on day 7!!! Check me out (i'm above you). I still look like someone who belongs on CSI!

Oooh yes - I have 2 doggies - betty & page (named after the old pinup model). one is a boston/rat terrier mix and the other is a pure rat terrier. the silliest little fart-monkies you could ever ask for! I love mini pins and chihuahuas. what are your little ones names? and i'm so jealous that you know how to sew. we buy clothes for ours but i'm thinking of taking a knitting class to make them some sweaters. :thumbup: Tons of pics of the doggies on my flickr site: brende's photosets on Flickr
