  1. Oooh @@Dub i owe you. Just about to make a grocery run and expanded my list.
  2. I had a hiccup at mid-week three (sugar free beverage hit my colon like a freight train and I had to get an IV) but I felt normalish after that.
  3. I asked my surgeon the same thing as I was leaving the hospital and he said, "You can go today if you want to." Turned out I was so exhausted that it was more like two weeks. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. That sounds rough. Can you sip warm broth? Are you tracking how much you can get in? If you find it's minimal, I'd say give the doc a call. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. @@Dub, you're killing me, Smalls.
  6. New favorite thing: very cold vanilla Premier, a half of a frozen banana, two ice cubes and a tablespoon of powdered Peanut Butter. Blend. Delicious. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm shooting for a size 8. If things keep going as they are, I think I can get there by mid-February. 5'7" here. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. I don't do resolutions so much as I do themes. This year's theme: The Year of Helping People, Making Things and Learning to Love Cauliflower. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. My husband makes a kickass vegetable bean chili. Peppers, zucchini, tomato, onion and black, kidney and pinto Beans. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  10. Tonight was crab with lemon mayo, asparagus and coleslaw. Last night was Italian sausage with peppers, onions and spicy tomato sauce and Tuscan-style white Beans. Night before was stuffed peppers (loving my new Instant Pot). New Year's Eve we're having people over and doing tacos and margaritas, no margarita for me. Chili sounds like a great idea for New Year's Day... Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  11. I made it over to costco today to restock, bought more chocolate and decided to try the vanilla. I totally botched making a peppermint mocha tho -- went a wee bit overboard on the peppermint extract. Was like chocolate mouthwash. The flan sounds great, that'll be another must try. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  12. Love cheese. Can't live without cheese. Surgeon says I absolutely don't have to live without cheese. Just ordered a case of Moon Cheese from Amazon. (If you haven't tried it, you must...) Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. I've had to take steroids for asthma in the past (fortunately it's been years) and they can make you ravenously hungry. And moody too, which is especially special. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm losing a horrifying amount of hair right now (4 month out). Had my 3 month follow up appt with the surgeon last week, he said it's totally normal and that my hair should grow back thicker than before. Should. Here's hoping for should because right now, I'm afraid to even wash it. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  15. Have you tried Premier? Comes in chocolate, caramel, vanilla, banana and strawberry. I'm partial to the chocolate ... Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  16. With this comment, you win the internet! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  17. Amen to that. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  18. No pic here either (will try to remember tomorrow) but dinner tonight was nonfat vegetarian refried Beans topped with homemade enchilada sauce and shredded cheddar and a fried egg. I ate the egg and about four bites of the beans. (I'm four months post bypass.) Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  19. I have 5 pairs of workout pants (three are Champion brand and two are Lane Bryant) in need of a good new home. Size 2x on four of them, XL on one; all of them are black. Message me here or DM me--depending on how many people respond, I can parse out one at a time or mail them all to one person. Edited to add: Smoke free home but not pet free home. You may find a few stray dog hairs on them. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  21. I've been pouring the caramel flavored into coffee and it's a great thing -- like a caramel latte, without all the sugar. Same with the chocolate. I haven't tried the other flavors yet, but I will snag some vanilla next time I can find it.
  22. Same as Gustavio; I have thick hair down past my shoulder and it's coming out in handfuls. I'm four months post op. I am trying not to freak out, but I'm considering getting it cut to chin length because between the clumps in the brush and the drain and in my fingers if I run my hand through my hair (nervous habit) it's getting a little demoralizing. Not noticing any bald spots yet. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  23. You and I are losing at about the same rate with about the same time period (my surgery was a few days earlier than yours). My surgeon's assistant said they don't want me losing more than 10 lbs a month and that's about where I am. Congrats on the leg crossing! I just this past week started noticing an awful lot of hair in my brush, and on my sweater and in the drain and, oh, i just ran my hand through my hair and a nice clump came out. I'm trying not to freak; I go to the surgeon on Thursday for a four-month follow up and I'll share any intel I get. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  24. Genius! I poured half a caramel Premier into a cup of black coffee today. Was delish. Like a caramel latte, sans guilt. I'll give the PB powder a whirl in a chocolate shake tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
