  1. Leah - My bariatric nurse who is also my dietician warned me that I would have diarrhea for 7-10 days. I am 3 days in, currently on liquids including milky liquids and can move to egg beaters, cottage cheese, refried Beans, pudding and yogurt on Tuesday. I hope the diarrhea is gone on Wednesday.
  2. I was banded on Feb 28th in Denver. Where we in recovery together?? There were three of us. I am doing great!! Friday I went to a hair appointment, yesterday I attended a rubber stamping seminar (crafts) and tomorrow I am going back to work. I am not on pain meds, only at bedtime and tonight I don't think I will be on any. The more I walk, the better I feel. Good luck!!
  3. Last night was my third night. I am off the pain pump, but I do take oxycodone before going to bed. I am usually a half side half tummy sleeper, if that makes any sense. I was able to sleep almost normal last night, slightly on a pillow when sleeping on the left side. You can also take tylenol to help with the swelling. I take one 500 mg tylenol around noon time. I am doing great and have very little pain. I also make sure to get up and walk. The day after my surgery (Friday), I went and got my hair colored and cut. Best of Luck!
  4. I was a self-pay in Colorado. My insurance paid for the lab work and doctors' visits but they would not pay for the surgery. My surgery was $14,150. Hospital charges:$10,000 Anesthesia fee: $650 Pulmonary fee** (consult, modified pulmonary testing, and hosp. mgmt.):$200 Surgeon's fee (evaluation, hospital mgmt., and 6 months post-op care):$3,200 Surgical assistant’s fee: $300 Total: $14,150 Get the surgery done in the US.
