  1. Hello!!! I have been doing some research on weight loss surgeries and finally after talking with my liver specialist yet again (my primary doesn't believe in weight loss surgeries), we made a decision that my liver was only getting larger and so was I and I needed to take the steps now! He called the surgeon and got the ball rolling earlier this week and I go to my first informational seminar tomorrow! I was concerned about our insurance, but the coordinator that called to confirm said that if there had been problems with the insurance, she would be calling to cancel - not confirm! I am excited, but also scared to death - this means a whole different lifestyle. No more cooking the delicious southern dishes that I grew up on - or that my family loves (no wonder we all have weight issues) ...committing to an excercise program...but I am pretty certain I will enhance my life so much that the trade-offs will be minimal! Question - any advice that you would have like to have had prior to your journey that you could pass on to me as I begin mine?? Thanks!!!
