@@Utleyshair I am at 4 weeks now. And it's still really hard going. I have taken to drinking unsweetened ice tea or lemon Water because plain water makes me feel gross for some reason. And I can barely get one of my Protein drinks down in a day. But something surprising that I have been able to eat (and am almost getting sick of) is taco salad. Seasoned meat, lettuce, shredded cheese, a couple crunched up tortilla chips, salsa, and melted nacho cheese to make it go down easier. It takes me forever to eat it, but it's working. French onion Soup (without the cheese and bread on top) has also been a lifesaver.
I have also noticed that the less I eat throughout the day, the less tolerant my body is of food. Last week, I had a full taco salad from taco bell (it took me 5 hours to eat the whole thing, but whatever) and then some soup when I got home and it was no problem. I still had to take it slow, but it all went down. Then the next day, I was super busy cleaning and running around and by 6pm, the only thing I had that day was about 20 oz of iced tea. So then when I decided to eat, I only got a spoonful of applesauce down before I promptly threw it up. So I've noticed how nauseous and gross I feel when I eat is directly related to whether I have been eating little bits throughout the day. Which I hope passes soon because it's really hard to literally be eating all day long when I have a job.
And yeah, I have been having the same issue with taste, which looking at it from a "I'm getting healthy and changing my lifestyle" perspective, it's great. But it's still a little disappointing when I just want to have an oero or an M&M and it tastes like dirt.
My mom introduced me to this thermos tumblr (http://reduceeveryday.com/collections/cold/products/cold-1-vacuum-tumbler-24oz) and it's been amazing. It keeps whatever I put in it cold ALL DAY without any ice in it even. So if you are sick of drinking room temperature liquids because it takes 8 hours to drink your glass of water, I recommend getting this.
