  2. Thank you gl12282. I've been sticking to warm and room temp drinks the last few days. I'm actually afraid to try cold again for fear of the pain. Maybe in a few months. I'm glad to hear that things do eventually get better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi Bill0565, I am 3 days post op and have had the exact same issues you mentioned. My doc wanted me to have 6oz of liquid every hour and I just laughed because there was no way. I actually had to stay in the hospital an extra day longer than normal because my Fluid intake wasn't enough and I was so nauseated. I was way too nauseous and it hurt way too much to drink. However today was the first day I could start drinking a little more. It does seem to improve with each day. I'm still on Clear liquids for another week so no Protein shakes for me yet, but I can have protein Water. We can do it!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. Thank you Joy and Kristen. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person that's had issues with this. I was so frustrated trying to figure out how to make this happen. And how other people have been successful with it because obviously people were. I really appreciate all of you for responding. It's great having a support system of people that care enough to help even if we don't know each other. Today seems a little better so I'm hoping each day does get easier. The last few days I was wondering what the heck I did to myself. Haha! But one day I'm sure I'll realize it was all worth it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Thank you so much for your help everyone. I will definitely be trying those things. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. They gave me some in the hospital, but only sent me home with pain meds and Zofran. Do you think one of those would help? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Hello everyone! I've been reading these posts since I was pre-op and never posted anything. I admire all that everyone is doing and the progress being made. But I had surgery on Oct 26 and now I need help. I am having trouble drinking 6oz of Water an hour. I am still on Clear Liquids. I drink small sips but when the water hits my stomach, IT HURTS. Well I guess it feels more like water hitting hot grease in my stomach. It kind of sizzles. It goes away in a min or so, but that's my biggest issue right now and I'm afraid I'm going to end up back in the hospital for dehydration. I'd appreciate any help you all can provide. I've really been looking forward to this surgery and now I'm second guessing my decision. I'm just uncertain on what to do. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
