I was working as a nurse for 15 yrs in New York. I grew up there. I was separated from my husband and my family moved to FL. So in 1990, I decided to join them. I worked as a nurse until 1994. My weight had always been between 117 and 140. I went to college to become a social worker. I was 13 credits from graduation when another car came right at me. It was head on because he was in my lane going the other way. I broke 11 bones and developed chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia. I stayed home a lot for a year and started gaining weight. About 10 years ago, I developed diabetes type 2 and metabolic syndrome. I was always dieting and joined a gym but I couldn't lose weight. Now, I'm 197 to 207 and feel very depressed. I really want the gastric bypass. Not only will I lose weight but I will be healthy according to all the information I read. That alone will add years to my life. Right now, I live with my mother. I have been seeing the same guy for about 6 years. So, here I am waiting to see the 3 treatment providers on Nov 15th. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy.. I also had an ultrasound of my abdomen because my liver is enlarged and just recently I had an MRI of the stomach. I worry because I had hepatitis. B when I was 20. That's my story. Hope things go well.
