  5. Hello All, My name is Tony and I live in Tampa, FL. I have type I diabetes and renal deficency. I am 5' 3" and weigh 246 lbs. I don't eat alot during the day, sometimes nothing, but then at night I will binge eat. It's a horrible way to function. So, my kidney specialist suggested the Lap Band. I have done the research and it seems quite harmless and relatively effective. So, that's a good introduction for me. Tony
