  1. I stay cold all the time also. I used to be the one that had hot flashes constantly and would just pour sweat. Now, it is the other way around. I just chalked it up to less body fat and my blood pressure being lower. I would MUCH rather be cold than that "sweaty chick" sitting somewhere in short sleeves praying someone will turn down the heat!! Tina H/S/C/G 252/230/173/130
  2. I've always used the Muscle Milk Light powder, not the ready-to-drink in the 4 packs. I tried the ready-to-drink, first (chocolate) and it was disgusting! It's like you couldn't shake it up enough so there were always chunks in the bottom and the aftertaste was terrible. But my husband bought me 2 different kinds in the powder from GNC. One was the chocolate milk (yuck) and the other was the chocolate Peanut Butter flavor, which sounds gross I know, but it isn't nearly as bad. It is actually milder than the plain chocolate and it doesn't really have a peanut butter taste at all. I didn't find the aftertaste to be as bad or maybe I just got used to it. I always mixied it w/fat-free milk and ice and shook it up as well as I could. I did find the colder it was, the better. I also found a website cheapvitamins.com that sold it for almost half of what GNC was selling it for and they had a bunch more flavors to choose from. i just stuck with the choc/pb because I was too chicken to try anything else. I had already wasted money on a huge thing of the nectar Protein Powder mix and I couldn't get past the smell much less the taste! Everyone just has different preferences and I haven't heard anyone yet talk about how much they loved their Protein drink!!Good luck! 3. I was banded 7/15 and found that the pain at the port site lasted the longest. Even now sometimes when I bend a certain way or sit a certain way it feels like it's in a bind (?) or like it is pulling from the port site to my stomach? I just get up and walk around awhile and it seems to "stretch" itself back out...if that's the right way to describe it. Not sure if that is supposed to last or not...I will ask when I go back for my 2-week.
  4. I was banded on July 15th and the first 5 or 6 days were miserable for me. I had terrible gas pains, could NOT burp at all and had really strange chest pain. My doctor told me to drink 4 oz. of liquids every hour I was awake, but I never got that much down. For one thing I didn't want it and second I was so paranoid about throwing up that I never pushed anything. You don't realize how much swelling there really is until it is gone! Finally day 7 or 8 I felt like a human being again and FINALLY had some energy do get up and do something. yes, in the beginning I questioned whether or not this was the right thing to do but I now know that it was. Just try to stay hydrated and remember that it does get better!! I gotta get one of those ticker things...
