  1. I would call the barix clinic and talk to someone in the insurance dept. They seem to be very knowledgeable and could answer your questions better than I could. And yes I have insurance through work. It also matters what your BMI is! If it's over 40 I don't think you need the supervised weight loss but I'm between 35 & 40 so I guess I'm medium sized fluffy....
  2. BCBS PPO is exactly what I have. My requirements are 6 months of going to my regular doctor on a supervised weight loss program (weight check every month) and a psych eval. I got the call today from my regular doc that she has written my letter and I have the psych eval in a couple weeks. As for the 60 to 90 days, I don't even remember what they told me because it was back in October that I went.
  3. Hey there Michelle, I'm Michelle too! I have done my consult there, and I have been doing my BCBS requirements. Dr. Schram answered all my questions but was quick to rush out (there were a ton of people there). BUT, I have been talking with the insurance coordinator Vicki and she is on top of all my questions and requests. Good Luck! Michelle
  4. That's a bummer that they don't accept fill patients! Good Luck in your search. Maybe Beaumont hospital?
  5. I am beginning my weight loss journey and have so far settled with Dr. Schram in Ypsi. Can anyone give their thoughts good, bad or otherwise??? Katrina:cool:
