Thank you for asking... I have Factor V Leiden as well and I'm taking Xarelto with no limitations. I am scared to have the VSG surgery because I'm afraid of clotting again. Wow I completely understand about the clot. This is why I'm scared to have the surgery. I had multiple blood clots in both of my lungs. This was 2 yrs ago all of them have dissolved now. I'm on a blood thinner for life because after a lot of test. I found out that I have Factor V a clotting disorder. It was a long road and I still have some rough days.
