HELP! Freaking out - need honest feedback
It was very tolerable. I was in pain for sure but nothing that made me regret anything. I winced when I tried to move and was restless and unable to get comfortable for the first few days. Other than that, I was fine after those few days. I never cried out in pain, never had a moment where the pain was unbearable. Walking and moving around helps with the gas. Get up and moving as soon as they will let you and as much as they let you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Fresh fruit (apples, grapes etc..)
I was allowed all fruits in major moderation per surgeon at 4 weeks. Some Fruits have a lot of sugar and carbs so i was limited to 2-3 servings a week. Grapes are not included in my diet per surgeon. Didn't ask why, don't care for the anyway. Check with surgeon. Everyone's plan is different. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Did you ever...? (a bit gross)
You shouldn't assume that everyone who requires WLS is automatically a food addict. If you were to take a normal weight person and force them on a month long liquid diet, do you think they might chew a favorite food and spit it out for the sensation? You better friggin' believe they would. I realize it's not a healthy behavior and have no intentions on continuing, hence the frozen pickle juice. Ok, perhaps not everyone is addicted to food. I apologize if I've offended anyone. However, the taste will indeed create more cravings and triggers in your brain. I'm not here to insult anyone, I admitted that I had done it as well. It didn't end well for me. I had to up my discipline and put a stop to it. I think it's safe to say that a food addiction got MOST of us in the position that we were in prior to WLS. Frozen pickle juice sounds like an awesome way to satisfy that urge to crunch. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Did you ever...? (a bit gross)
By spitting the food out, you may not be feeding yourself but you are feeding your addiction. It is a very slippery slope. I've done it as well. I had to reign myself back in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hair loss?
I started my hair loss at 2.5 months out and still going strong at 4 months post op. I lose a handful or more with each hair wash. I try to only wash every 3 days because of this. I started with very thick and very long hair that everyone always complimented and envied. The only noticeable thinning spot however is at my bang area and so I've cut a nice side bang to camouflage this. I can tell that my hair is much much thinner but nobody else can. I am waiting for this shedding to stop. I praying for this shedding to stop! Also, my hair was always healthy soft and shiny. It is brittle and course and dull now. I use products and straighten it so it still looks good but after a shower or before my products are applied? Holy heck, my hair feels like straw. With that said, I still wouldn't change a thing. It's a small price to pay to be healthy and happy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

What other apps do u guys use
Ok, I've about had enough with the handful of people on here that are negative and miserable. I find myself stepping out of character and sticking up for people against these "bullies". I hate the drama and I hate to argue. Especially when you are talking to brick walls and right fighters. What other groups or apps do y'all use? I'm thinking of weeding this one out. It makes me a little sad because I've found a few people who inspire me and who I follow their progress and vice Versa. But I can't deal with constant negativity, immaturity and pure hatefulness. Drop some links below if you are in any other groups I can get in an app on my phone. Thanks y'all! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Not doing so well
First of all, there is a nice way to say something and get your point across and an ignorant way. You may or may not learn that in life. For your sake, I hope that you do. Second of all, where in here did I say I was superior? Again, you are creating your own scenarios. You were saying you posted more than once if I had "read the entire post" well I did read it all and I'm wondering what set you off since nobody responded to your initial comment? LolYou were sleeved recently I see, perhaps you are hangry? (Hangry=hungry+angry) Whatever the case may be, it doesn't make it right. We are all going through the same thing and all looking for advice. There is no need for hatefulness. Not to mention, the ignorant responses aren't going to teach someone anything. The only drama I seen came from your end??!! I will not respond to you again. Your behavior is absurd. Oh and I won't even respond to the merry Christmas thing! Come on, don't be petty Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Booty update
Ok so when taking my progress pics I take shots at all angles. I am almost 4 months post op. I think the one that shocked me the most is my picture of my back side. I never thought I was that big. Thought I would share some motivation with y'all. This surgery was the best decision of my life. It literally saved my life. My weight constantly trended up after I had kids. No telling where I would have ended up. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Not doing so well
So basically you decided that ignoring your doctor's instructions and eating a week after major surgery is OK and you came here to find people who agree? Great. Your insurance paid for this surgery because you are morbidly obese. If you can't follow simple medical instructions to prevent serious post operative problems I m not going to waste my time on you. But, before I BLOCK you, unless you are well bent on killing yourself I suggest you get some psychiatric counseling ASAP. I don't see anywhere where she was asking for validation. She is asking for advice and if you don't have any, move on. It isn't that hard to be polite. Try it. If you aren't going to "waste your time" then you should have just scrolled on and not wasted those very precious 2 minutes on your hateful and unnecessary post. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! ANYWAY---With that said......girl, call your surgeon and nutritionist. This is a very dangerous road you are walking. Not only will you NOT be successful in your weight loss journey but most importantly, you are risking your life for temporary satisfaction followed by (im sure) intense guilt. I am really surprised that you are tolerating this food. At a week out, I had trouble getting liquids in. Good luck honey, I will pray for you. Only a week or two more on liquids and then you have a lifetime of good foods. Believe it or not, your life of enjoying food is not over. There are many many YUMMY Bariatric friendly recipes on Pinterest. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Women - losing hair?
Major hair loss here. I'm nearly 4 months out. Hoping it stops soon. I'm the only one who has noticed as of yet. No balding or scalp showing but when I wear it in a ponytail, I can wrap my hair tie around it almost 4 times as opposed to the 2 times it use to be. Luckily I started out with very thick hair. My hair is waist length and I don't want to cut it. I just need it to stop coming out by the handfuls so that I don't have to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
