harper hospital call jackie @ 313-966-7491 dr. g did mine and he is wonderful, he's world renoun. i would do it again in a new york minute. i've lost 26 lbs and 23 1/2 inches from neck to toes. also down 4 sizes in clothes. i was banded march 24, 2008..............good luck..............sue

this is one of the reasons i went to detroit mi to get banded, south dakato had too many requiements to me. i went to harper hospital had sugery date in less than 2 weeks. medicare paid everything except 1,024.00, that my supplemental insurance picked up. if u have anymore questions just e-mail me. i'll be happy to help u...................sue

Judy.......no I'm 59, but I'm on disabilty social security. Thats why I have medicare!!!!!.....theres noway u could get it at 27 darlin.........Sue:thumbup:

:thumbup:Just a short note to let u know medicare does pay forthis because I was just banded march 21st. Had no problems whats so ever. You do have to go to a center of exllence however. And some states have 6 month supervised diet plan. That was my state, I live in South dakato, so i went out of state. I went to detroit mi. Had surgery date in 2 weeks. Didn't even need alot of tests. Had surgery on a fri. and was home mon. Everything went just like clock work. I had no gas, no pain and just fine in one day. I was one of the lucky ones. I'm still on full liquids and will be on them another 3 weeks. Some people go right into solids, but u need that time to heal. Sorry this got long..............but don't worry about medicare paying...............Sue

skminnie.......oh where are u from? I'm doing just great and feel really good. No I'm not going to any support groups because Sioux Falls is just to far to drive. Idon't think there is one around here anywhere. I'm still on full liquids, but never hungry anyways. I drink alot of liquids and that seems to be enough for me right now. I've lost 20 lbs already and it sure makes a difference I can't believe it. How are you doing? I hope good. Good to all of you. I was banded march 21 and doing very well, I'm so happy that I decided to do this. I was so worry before hand and scared to death. But everything went smoothly. I had no gas pains, no pain, and no problems. I'm still on liquids, full liquids and I'm never hungry. But i know I have to to keep up my energy. I love reading all the posts, I've learned a awful lot just from reading what everyone has to say. I'm so thankful you are all here in the same boat with me............By now you are all banded so we all have alot to talk about............good luck to all.....sue:thumbup:

best of luck to you. i was banded march 21 and things are going great for me too. just stick to your diet and dont hurry things. it will all come in good time............hang in there, this is for our lives......sue:thumbup:
