  1. I had a successful surgery in July 2012 but have suffered with pain every time I have eaten ever since. 4 Months post op I had an ulcer that has since healed, but the pain every time I eat has never gone away. My surgeon stated that the surgery was a success ("Textbook") and referred me to a GI Group for follow up. My weight plummeted from 236 to 103 pounds. Forcing myself to eat I have recovered my weight back to 115 pounds. The only thing the GI docs were able to do was prescribe opioides for pain management telling me that I have functional pain. FOUR YEARS post surgery with no relief in sight. Has anyone on this site ever dealt with this issue? Please, any help is appreciated.
