  2. I had my surgery on August 17th. I weighed myself both yesterday and today and each time I had gained a lb. I'm not sure how as I'm barely eating 500 calories per day. I know we plateau...but to do that 5 weeks out?!? I'm stressing about this big time! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. So now it's even worse...I can't eat or drink anything without feeling extremely nauseous and earlier today I threw up foam multiple times and it scared me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. I have anti-nausea meds. When they were giving them to me in my IV at the hospital, they were working. They don't do anything now. And I haven't taken any pain meds in over a week and a half. I have no idea what's causing it but it's so very frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Hey everyone. I've had constant nausea since they day of surgery. I can't drink anything without feeling nauseous. I don't actually throw up, thankfully. However with the lack of appetite from the surgery and the constant nausea...I'm having a hard time getting in food and drink. How long does this last? I went and bought a bag of Sonic ice because it's like hospital ice. Eating ice doesn't make me as sick as drinking...and at least I'm getting fluids in. I can't drink any Protein shakes....so I'm lucky to get 30-40 grams of protein per day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Awesome! Thanks for the info! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I started at 388. I am 10 days out of surgery and am 346. I'm 36. Wondering if anyone is close to my age and size and how much they've lost. Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I sure hope it gets better. I'm so nauseous and don't want to eat or drink anything and have been forcing myself to at least drink Water so I don't end up back at the hospital with dehydration. That and my throat is killing me and everything exhausts me. This is so frustrating!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I started at 388 lbs. I'm currently a week and a day post op. I had complications and came close to death. I had major internal bleeding and had to have plasma and transfusions. It was quite scary. I stayed in the hospital for 7 days. I'm doing much better. Can handle Water and Popsicles and Protein water but all the shakes I've tried have made me gag and heave. I am on anti nausea meds daily and am still in a fair bit of pain. I do get hungry...but am wanting real food. Not liquids! All in time. My first post op appt is next Tuesday. It was a very difficult experience for me and at this point I can't say I'd do it again. I probably will once weight starts coming off. I left the house for surgery at 350 and am currently at 355. I do have a HUGE hematoma that spans my entire abdomen belly and part of my back and is very tender and sore. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Well tomorrow is my surgery. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I've read so much on what to expect but I'm still nervous because I have no idea how I will be. On the plus side, my doctor wanted me to lose 40lbs before surgery and I'm officially down 40lbs as of today! With the just clear liquid diet today, I should be down even more tomorrow. For those of you that have had the surgery done recently...give me a few pointers! Also, for those of you on post op diets...if I don't like cottage cheese, applesauce, or yogurt...what do I do? LOL Thanks in advance everyone!

  16. My surgery is on August 17th. I've lost 35lbs on my preop diet. My dr wants me to lose 40. Would it mess up my surgery if I ate stir fry from Mongolian Bbq? Just a tiny bit of chicken and a ton of veggies and very little oil. No rice or tortillas or that? I am having a very hard time with only having sweet things but I also don't want to screw up my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I have my pre-op visit tomorrow and my surgery is scheduled for August 17th. I'm excited and nervous!
