  1. Hey! I am just wondering what yalls calorie count is 4 months out? I am at maybe 550-600 per day. I just want to make sure I am not limiting myself too much. Thanks!

    New to the board

Hey yall! I am new to this board. I am so glad I found this place! I have been on my journey to get WLS for a while now. I started discussing it with my doctor over a year ago, and was about 90% through the pre-op prep, like classes, sleep study, blood work, psych eval, ect....and then I moved! I had to start all over again! Oy! I have started once again with my new doctor, and he seems great. I have to go through a mandatory 6 months of nutrition classes with weigh in. Tuesday is my first mandatory nutrition appointment. This would have been number 3, but I missed the first 2! Oh well. I'm not in a rush, I just want to make a life style change. I plan to get the roux en y surgery. My surgeon and I have already discussed it. He offers a few different options, but I am going with the roux en y due to GERD and I REALLY don't want it to get worse! As I prepare for my upcoming surgery, I have a few things I have to work through. First, only 2 people outside of my doctors are aware of my surgery. That would be my husband and my mom. I have no want or need to tell anyone else. I know my family well enough that they would be very judgmental. I don't know if that is the right thing, but that is what I am sticking to for now. I have been browsing the various forums and learning a lot of new information. It has given me a few ideas of things that might make my transition a bit easier. I have been filling up my amazon wish list with all sorts of new things. Looks like I am going to have to rake in a little extra comp time so I can take 2 weeks off of work. Good to know. Well, thank you all for your wonderful stories.
