  1. I am going on Aetna on January 1st, has anyone done the 3 month multi discipline or 6 month supervised dieting? What did they require that you do?
  2. Ok spoke with an Aetna rep and they will accept the dieting prior to being on their plan!
  3. Be careful with this. In some cases the primary insurance doesn't cover bariatric then the secondary won't either. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using the BariatricPal App
  4. I cant actually talk to Aetna because it is my fiances policy and getting him to call Aetna is like pulling teeth!
  5. That is MY biggest fear that I start losing weight and fall below 40 BMI because I was barely that at initial weight in like 40.7 and this is my month 3 of 6. Yes I have been walking more 3 times a week, yes I am eating a lot healthier but my weakness is Starbucks even though I have switched to "skinny" but then I eat stuff that I really do not even enjoy like BREADS and high starchy foods because I have been afraid of my BMI falling so my weight has literally been the exact same month after month. It's hard to get in touch with the coordinator at my surgeons office for clarification and when I call my insurance company (Meritain) they just say 6 months of supervised diet without ANY gain but it still makes me nervous after reading some of the other requirements out there. Losing 1-2 pounds a week and such just FREAKS ME OUT! So where are you now with this? Did they go by the starting weight?
  6. With no comorbibitys and a bmi of 42.6 I cannot lose more the 16 pounds to stay at a bmi of 40. Any suggestions on maintaining weight on weigh in days? I just started so I'm just worried if I gain at a weigh in I'll be denied. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using the BariatricPal App
  7. I have an insurance now that doesn't cover bariatric. Come January 1st I'll have Aetna which covers it. I'm doing the 6 month weigh ins according to Aetnas policy. Will they accept weigh ins under the insurance I have now? Sent from my SM-G900R4 using the BariatricPal App
