Ok, I only :thumbs_up:5 days till surgery and I am so excited I feel like a kid. I know if I am feeling this way, so is everyone else who is waiting "impatiently" I can't concentrate on anything else. I shared this story with someone else, at first I was embarrassed to share with others, but I think some of you could appreciate this one. Ok! I found out my surgery date, so I did what I call the "yippie surgery dance" in the near birthday suite., and my (8) year old daughter said" (Mom your legs are clapping) :lol:and for a moment I was mordified, "out of the mouths of babes" I told her well Ms. Thing not for long and I did the "yippy surgery dance" again. Glad there wasnt a video camera around. I am tired of my "legs clapping" :crying:even on there own, so I am ready for this new change in my life. :laugh: Are any of you counting down the days like me.

Hi, I am going to Mexicali, March 7th. I am so excited I can't hardly sleep. Dr. Aceves is my Dr of choice. I've prepared for everything, I went and picked out the cutiest pajama set, cute fuzzy slipper socks for the hospital, and of course all of the yummy liquids etc....for the first few weeks. Anyone else going to Mexicali, Dr. Aceves March 7th?

I was scared when I started this journey myself, the "research journey" have you read the thread on: "How to search for Mexican Doctors" if you read and followed that advise you will feel at ease with your decision, but just make sure you do your research. It's time consuming and confusing. But I feel so much better with my decision after I did my research myself, I didn't go by what someone else said, I made sure I did my research, and I have said before I am so glad I did. Dr. A. does have a excellent reputation. Good luck, hope to hear from you after surgery.:w00t:

Is anyone as excited as I am..... a little nervous, but I eased some of my nerves by "research" when I first started this process and found out how this thing works in "mexico" I was shocked at the some of the information I found out there. Then I came accross the thread "How to search for Dr. in Mexico 101" Thanks to "wasabubblebut" I did my research and thank God I did........ I started with each Dr. and went down the list until I found the one with the best credentials, and experiance to not only do "lapbands" but also the one who can do "everything" in case of an emergency. I didn't choose my Dr. because he was nice, his eyes, beside manner, or because someone referred me, nor did I go with my gut instinct. I feel good about all the research I have done, and for those of you who are newbies, please please do your research before making your decision. Any of you March bandsters be in Mexicali March 7th, would love to see you there.
