They gave me the lovenox shot before surgery (30 mins prior) & once more the day after surgeryou. Prevents blood clots. small needle/poke, but the medicine stings..

I'm 2 days out post op. Definitely harder than I expected. Im starving so my stomach hurts from hunger pains and when I sip in anything, hurts going down. I'm hoping this goes away eventually? I throw up the liquid pain meds bc its so Gross and doesn't sit in my tummy well, it hurts to throw up. Whats the average amount of days your in pain for post op surgery? An estimate?

I'll hold off on the alcohol for my hubby's bday. Next question, why do they say to wait 30 mins to drink after u eat? Like water/milk/etc? What's the reasoning?

Ok, so my question is about drinking alcohol Post Op. I drink on occasion (New Years eve, My Birthday & my husbands Bday).. So my question is, my surgery is scheduled for Oct 4th & my husbands bday party is Oct 29th. I have read that the calorie intake is bad (not worried about that since I don't drink much or often) However, I am worried what will happen to me? What's the severity of drinking a few drinks 4 weeks after your surgery? Will something bad happen?

Thanks ladies I went in today for my 2 week pre op diet even tho surgery is in 1.5 weeks, but because my BMI is borderline of insurance not covering me, I dont have to do any pre op diet because I can't lose any weight. I can lose 2 pounds, anything less, my insurance would deny me so another posotive is no 2 week pre op liquid diet:) But its the post op that looks really hard to do..

Wow, I cant belive how fast this is moving. My 1st appt with Beaumont weight control in Rochester was August 13th & I met Dr. Krause yesterday & they have me a surgery date of Oct 4th!! Everything has moved very fast for me Excited yet nervous now that surgery is in less than 2 weeks..

My 1st appt with Dr Krause is next Wednesday. I was cleared to see him by rochester beaumont weight ctr. Once I see him, what time frame (estimate) am I looking at for my insurance (medicare only) to approve me? Weeks, months?

Hello, I went with Beaumont WWC in rochester & choosen Dr Krause too. I only seen the MD once & the psych dr, had lans done & had my body comp test done. They said they sent me Dr Krauses info to make an appt so Im trying to patiently wait to get the info. Wish they could habe called me with it, but they sent me a letter with the info. As far as this Rachel nurse, Ive never seen or heard of her through the Rochester location. But Im assuming she will be around when I meet Dr Krause at the Troy location? Labs**

I went to my appts with Beaumont in Rochester & the M.D. that I seen cleared me to see Dr. Krause. Ill be going through Troy for the surgery. I went to my psych appt, diet & nurtrion. So when do I meet his nurse? And would it be this Rachel lady for the Troy location? The Dr I seen at Beaumont, she told me once she clears me to see Dr. Krause, I only see him once then surgery so when do I meet this nurse?
