  1. Hi y'all, I'm about 3 weeks out from surgery and I'm starting mushy foods tomorrow, right in time for vacation. However, in the full liquid stage, I've had some trouble eating certain foods (yogurt, milk, some types of protein) because of nausea. This has caused me to not eat as much as I should be able to during my full liquid stage. I'm excited to be able to eat more "real" foods but I'm terrified of getting sick. In addition, I am very sensitive post surgery to flavor and aftertaste. I am already very tired all of the time and I'm worried that nausea and my picky taste buds will keep me from beginning to increase my calorie intake. Have any of you struggled with something similar? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. Hello everyone, My surgery was on June 28th and so far everything has went fairly well regarding my recovery. I am definitely still healing and not at 100% quite yet, but I'm anxious to get out of my house more often and be more active socially, at least for a start. I'm 21 years old and struggling to figure out how to adjust my lifestyle to my current needs as I am recovering and forming new habits. Specifically, I'm looking for advice regarding how to keep up with Vitamins and Protein requirements while still going about my normal day. How do you guys keep up with a busy lifestyle while maintaining the requirements needed for your recovery and health after surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. Hey! We had the same surgery day I've been getting better and better at sipping each day, which is exciting, but I am also getting more and more depressed each day/missing food more each day. Powering through it and I know it's mostly downhill from here but it is so much harder than I expected. I'm working on not sweating the little stuff but also patting myself on the back for making it this far. Each day is an accomplishment! Glad to here things are going well for you!
