  1. Hi Curlysue86, Did you ever find out if it definitely is the largest incision thats hurting? I thought that my largest incision was what was hurting me the first night that I can home (second night post surgery). I soon discovered that there is a bruise present about 4 inches below that incision that was causing the sharp pain. My pain meds don't hurt. Honestly, there is no reason for me to take the pain meds any longer because my incisions do not hurt; only the odd bruise. I called a nurse who advised me to place a warm towel on the area for 15 minutes. It only helped a little. Everytime I move or try to walk this sharp pain occurs in the area of the bruise. It discourages me from walking but I'm trying my best to get up anyway. I'll be calling my surgeons office in the morning. I feel like I'm not making progress because this area is so painful as if someone is cutting me with a sharp knife.
