I'm going to make this the "Reader's Digest Version". I had my lap band removed 8/1. I was planning on having a revision to the sleeve the same day but due to scar tissue it didn't happen. In the mean time I read a lot and thought a lot and decided I'd rather have the bypass. I was scheduled for 9/22 and today received a call and asked if I would be able to schedule for 9/6 instead. I of course said yes. I am wondering if anyone has had their band removed and their revision done a month later? If so, how was recovery? Really? I have a good friend that just had her band revised to a sleeve in one surgery by Dr Russo. He advised me that he would do it in one surgery unless there is too much scar tissue. I had my band placed by Dr. Quebbeman with The NEW program, but honestly I really liked Dr. Braverman with that practice. Don't know if you've looked into them. In Orange County, Smart Dimensions. I am in the process of having Dr. Russo do a revision from band to sleeve. Just waiting on insurance approval.
