  1. Good morning. I have been a little MIA. I am back now after much distress. I absolutely am disillusioned with both my dietitian and PA. They are both inconsistent and not available to work with. Since COVID it is even worse. I live an hour away from the hospital. I am working on ways to develop my own support systems, but it is totally hard. I have been a licensed counselor before and know how important these meetings are, as well as having a support group to be apart of. Norricia
  2. I had my surgery in December 07. Since then I have had 3 fills. The first okay, the second too tight, ended up in the ER...and then a re-fill on that one. Since that time, I throw up quite a bit during eating. I am able to tolerate soups, and mushy stuff pretty well, but when faced with chicken, etc..that requires grinding really well, that is a problem in swallowing. My doctor is in Iraq right now, will not return until November and I do not trust anyone at the hospital I go too besides him. I am concerned that my esophagus might be constricted...any advice? Risha
  3. Awomangodcanuse, Seeing as though you are a believer, belive that He has you in His care. Make sure to ask your doctors ALL your questions. I failed to do that, and seem to be doing things all wrong, or so I think. I am not losing wt like my counterparts, but I am losing. Keep the faith. Risha
  4. hello dear. I am sorry that you were not able to have a speedy recovery, but also be grateful that they had to go in the way they did or would not have found the hernia...and you would be induring another surgery in the long run. I had my surgery in December...and I have felt as you do. It happened just yesterday. It is tough on occasions, but all in all it gets better from day to day. Get your rest, which will help in your recovery process, and stay positive. Do something fun (like your hobby) to take your mind off, unless that is skydiving! smile. I will be praying for you. Risha
  5. hello I had my surgery on 6 December, and I have to admit after reading all these different notes, everyone's doctor seems to be doing something different. I am still confused...however, I started working on 17 December, and after clearance from my doc, to start eating real food, I have been doing the weight watchers smart ones for lunch. Loaded with protien. Only caution is the sodium level can be a little high it you have high blood pressure. Todays meal had 21 gms of protien...it was the bistro penne pollo (chicken). I am also into the veggie burgers by morning star. I even eat them for Breakfast with a little mustard of salsa. Yum.... I have my little baby plate that equates to the 4ounces of food per meal. I have not been cleared for Snacks yet. hope that gives you some ideas. I would love to get some of your reciepes for the high protien soups...I love soups. Risha:smile2:
