  1. I was banded by Dr. Rod in Acuna Mexico. He told me what to have completed as follow up care. My experience was wonderful. I returned for my first fill and to check band location. All is well... I have local doctors that keep an eye on my band too. To be completely honest with you- if I had to have a second opinion an any major illness/disorder/diesease I would 100% return to mexico for it. I was very impressed with the quality of care I received and bedside manners of the doctor(s) and nurse(s).
  2. It also has to do with some people stoma (area of tissue within the band) swell a bit from the irritation (squeezing) when the band is increased. Each person body's act different. PB'ing... is an awful experience for me. The end result is that I end up completely fearful of ever trying that type of food again.
  3. I agree! No pain with Wendy She and her daughter are funny. I come out laughing and feeling very happy.
  4. Hi all! I am new to this forum. I am 6 months out - banded 5/24/07 - down 70 pounds and hitting a wall. I am looking for a group to join that give me inspiration, ideas, and sound advice when I have a question or ten. Both my husband and I are banded. I wouldn't have changed the experience for the world. I am fearful of putting the weight back on. So here I am ....
  5. I can not tolerate any bread type of products (bread, tortilla, pasta, cakes, and so on). I can't even take one little baby bit! The pain and pressure I feel from it lasts 25 plus mins. The experience(s) was so awful, I won't even look at this stuff in a store. The other issues I have are potatoes or anything fried with oil. I guess it is best for me- but I am scared to death of those foods now.
  6. Wendy is awsome! She fills my husband and myself. We even got a flu shot last time. I give her a two thumbs up!
  7. Hi ya all. I registered specifically for this information. I have a 4cc band.. and am sitting at 3.4cc within my band currently. When TOM happens I can eat like hell. Drives me crazy! I am thinking about getting more put in- but I wasn't sure what would happen if I hit 4cc. I have had my band for 9 months. I dropped 70 pounds and 4 pant sizes. I feel good and can breath easer. But I don't want to fall back and put it all back on. I am worried that if I up my cc's some more than I won't feel the restriction later on (ie 2 yrs, 3yrs, 4 yrs).
